The Beginning of a New Chapter

This past weekend, I challenged myself to get back on track with my business. I have been pushing to get "back in the office". I have been so busy with many other things childcare related such as my day-to-day routine with children in my care, plus my own two busy bodies, relocating, state licensing, student portfolios, and perfecting my curriculum as I build and prepare for my third year of business. Sometimes it seems as if there just aren't enough hours in the day. However, on Sunday morning it was about 40 degrees here and I had lots to do before the beginning of my next week. If you know my 5 year old, you know he is ALL BOY and needs to run, play and socialize with others every day of the week. So...here we are in McDonald's Playplace. I got coffee...they are just here to play (this time). Being a one-woman show can be exhausting, but it is all about time management and managing the tasks you already have.

The goal was to keep my children entertained and get them out of the house for a bit, and me, taking advantage of this opportunity to tune in and focus on my needs as a business professional. I am finally getting back into getting myself together to begin putting together material for other childcare providers and parents in regards to the behaviors of young children, how we can foster a love of learning and provide opportuinities of learning at every corner. This Thanksgiving, I will be giving thanks for the awesome clients I have, the families and parents that have helped me accomplish a few of my short term goals in the past year. It has been a hard road, but there is so much more ahead of me, I am enjoying my journey and taking the time to get it right! Have aVery Happy Thanksgiving!!
